Below are configuration guidelines which outline the product types to use when specifying a
DVISE based system. Product Codes for Full Product, Upgrades and Step-Ups
can be found here.
For a new system:
- Purchase a Full Version Starter Pack covering the
number of individual users (not connections) configured per
server.
- Add Full Version Extension Options as required
to cover the total number of users and ports - one modem line uses one port
licence.
- Add a Full Version Add-On as required eg.
Anti-virus update licence.
- Purchase the Hardware that you will
require eg. Fax Modem, ISDN Card and GSM Modem.
For an upgrade from David XL to
David v8 Corporate Edition:
- Purchase an Upgrade Pack for the product you wish to upgrade
from for the number of users in the original David XL Starter Pack you
purchased (5 or 25 users). Your existing port licences and additional user
licences will remain
valid, therefore do not require upgrading. You will require an existing installation to upgrade over.
- Add Full Version Extension Options as required
for any additional users and ports you wish to add.
- Add a Full Version Add-On as required eg.
Anti-Virus update licence, Internet Access Module.
- Purchase any additional Hardware that you will
require. eg. Fax Modem, ISDN Card and GSM Modem.
For an upgrade from FaxWare V4.x,
5.x, 6.x, David Professional or the NWSB versions of FaxWare to FaxWare 7/David v8:
There is no upgrade path available from Tobit products previous to version 6.0, for Netware for Small Business (OEM) versions of FaxWare
or any of the other products listed above.
