15th October 2004 - Tobit Software announces the latest generation of their Messaging products - David v8 Office and Corporate Editions to replace David SL and David XL. Improvements in the anti-spam and anti-virus capabilities of the software and a revised client interface are the major changes in this latest release. Pricing remains unchanged and the products are now available from Microwise.

21st May 2003 - Tobit Software announces the release of the latest generation of their Messaging products - FaxWare 7, David SL, and David XL. David XL and David SL are two new products in the David Information Server Engine (DvISE) range, with David XL now running on Linux, as well as Windows 2000 Server, NT4.0 and Netware Operating Systems. Another new product, David SL is targeted specifically at small organisations with a maximum of 10 users and will be available at an extremely attractive price - positioned so that now even the smallest businesses can take advantage of a full unified messaging platform. David SL and XL are suitable for all SME organisations with up to 5000 users and have integrated Fax, Email, VoiceMail, and SMS as before with improved Calendaring, Task, and Document Management. Messages can now also be accessed from a special Pocket PC optimised Web interface, via WAP, or read to the user over the telephone. For more information email sales@microwise.com.au.

28th March 2003 - Microwise announces the successful integration of the Siemens HiPath and HiCom range of PABX's with Tobit's David Professional product, providing a full Unified Messaging platform to Australian Small and Medium Enterprises. Microwise has worked closely with On-line Communications Systems in Sydney - a premier Siemens partner - to bring the fully integrated platform to fruition. The combination of a Siemens HiPath telephone system and the David server provides an excellent solution for SME businesses to manage their eMail, Faxes, Voicemail and SMS messaging requirements all from within the one application interface. For more information email sales@microwise.com.au.

1st August 2002 - A new version of the Tobit InfoCenter client that provides mobile workers with complete unified messaging while not connected to their server has been released by Tobit Software. "Tobit Mobile DvISE" provides a new InfoCenter client that keeps a synchronised copy of the users personal archives, stored locally on the notebook or workstation PC. If a connection to the server is not available when the mobile InfoCenter starts, it will go into off-line mode, using the local archives. Now while away from the office, users can work with a familiar software interface to create messages in the normal way - eMail, fax or SMS. These messages wait in the job queue on the local workstation until synchronisation, at which point they are transferred to the DvISE server for transmission. The synchronisation process also updates the users in and outbox and other folders. For a tour of the InfoCenter Client click here.

21st June 2002 - Tobit Software has released a VoiceMail Add-On for use with David Professional that significantly enhances the VoiceMail functionality of David Pro - turning it into a fully featured VoiceMail platform. Called the "VoiceMail Plus Pack", it will be available as an upgrade to the standard VoiceMail script that ships with David Pro from Microwise by the end of June. It contains a Night Service, Holiday Service, Auto Attendant and advanced remote access and conference call recording facilities.

5th May 2002 - Tobit Software has announced the release of the Server Location Service (SLS), as a new feature of its range of unified messaging products. Server Location Service is a Dynamic DNS service available to customers at no extra charge. SLS enables small businesses to provide their remote or mobile users with access to their inbox, without the need for a permanent Internet connection or a fixed IP address for the host server. Remote users can dial any ISP and access the server at their office simply by going to a unique URL eg. http://companyname.tobit.net. Here they can retrieve all of their messages (email, fax, voicemail, sms) via the DvISE web based remote access client, and also create and send new messages.

29th April 2002 - Microwise has recently been appointed as the Authorised Distributor of Tobit Software in the Asia Pacific region, and will be providing support, training and consulting services to resellers and customers using these products.  This will complement Microwise's other business offerings which include specialist consulting services in the areas of Project Management, Systems Integration, and Network Design.
